Please join us to learn about the University's new Udall Center of Excellence for Parkinson's Research. Hear about current research that is designed to help brain scientists and clinicians better understand changes in brain circuitry that occur in Parkinson's, and how they use this knowledge to develop new treatment strategies to improve the lives of patients.
Dr. Jerrold Vitek, professor and chair of the Department of Neurology at the University of Minnesota and Director of the Udall Center will discuss recent research updates in the field of Parkinson's disease research, including improved techniques for deep brain stimulation for the treatment of Parkinson's and other movement disorders.
This event is free and open to the public. A light lunch will be provided.
