Michael Park, MD, PhD

Co-Investigator: Clinical Core, Co-Investigator: Project 1

Assistant Professor, Neurosurgery| MnDRIVE Neuromodulation Scholar

My scientific and clinical interest centers around brain machine interface and neuromodulation. Building on my foundation in electrical engineering and physiology, I have studied the voluntary control of movement to understand the role of the primary motor cortex in movement. My current research and clinical practice focuses on incorporation of imaging analysis and brain folding patterns for the treatment of neurological disorders and neuromodulation such as deep brain stimulation, spinal cord stimulation, intrathecal drug delivery, stereotactic electroencephalography and response neural stimulation for the treatment of movement disorders, pain and epilepsy.
