Biostatistics Core

Lead by Lynn Eberly, PhD, the mission of the Biostatistics Core is to collaborate in, support, and promote high quality translational research on the development of novel, circuit based deep brain stimulation (DBS) therapies for Parkinson’s disease (PD). This Core will collaborate with all projects and all cores in the Center throughout all 5 years by providing: personnel with the appropriate breadth and depth of expertise; services in study design, study logistics planning and implementation, overall data management and quality control, and statistical analysis; data integration with and transfer to the NINDS Parkinson’s Disease Biomarkers Program (PDBP) Data Management Resource (DMR); career development related to statistical concepts for clinical, basic, and translational scientists in the Center; participation in outreach and dissemination activities; and other resources as needed. This Core will participate with projects and cores before study initiation, during study execution, in results dissemination, and in cross-project initiatives that will provide innovative insights on circuit based DBS therapies for PD
